SEA Games Medals: Myanmar ranked 7th with 59 medals as of May 21st

At the ongoing 31st Southeast Asian Games, hosted by Viet Nam on Saturday, Myanmar sports teams won silver medals in the Vovinam Men’s Single Weapon practice four-element staff form competition, the 10-metre Air Pistol Mixed Team event, and bronze medals in the Vovinam Male Couple Weapon practice pair machete form event, the 55kg attack event, Sepak Takraw Men’s and Women’s Team, the 45kg Judo competition, the women’s 200-metre canoe race, the women’s 200-metre four-athlete canoe race, the Men’s Snooker Single event, On Saturday morning, Union Minister for Sports and Youth Affairs U Min Thein Zan and party watched the performance of Myanmar athletes in the Sepak Takraw competition held at Hoang Mai Gymnasium in Hanoi and the Myanmar Judo Competition at Hoai Duc Gymnasium.

The Union Minister presented prizes to the winners of the shooting competition held at the Hanoi National Sports Training Centre. As of May 21st, Myanmar is standing in the seventh place in the 31st SEA Games with a total of 59 medals including eight gold, 17 silver and 34 bronze medals.
