









The Ministry of Sports and Youth Affairs held the opening ceremony of the 2025–2026 academic year Sports and Education Integrated Training Program at the Union Hall of the Institute of Sports and Physical Science (Yangon), located at the Kyaikkasan Ground, Yangon on June 3rd.
During the ceremony, Yangon Region Chief Minister U Soe Thein delivered the opening speech, stating that since this is a school combining both sports and education, the aim is to nurture students to excel in both fields. He encouraged all trainees to strive to become individuals who can bring honor to the nation through sports.
After that, Deputy Minister for Sports and Youth Affairs U Htein Lin delivered a speech, followed by Chief Minister U Soe Thein presenting cash awards and blank notebooks, which were received by responsible officials.
Continuing the event, donors contributed cash donation, which were received by Chief Minister U Soe Thein, Deputy Minister U Htein Lin, and members of the region government. Certificates of appreciation were presented in return.
Subsequently, students from the Institute of Sports and Physical Science (Yangon) gave demonstration performances in Vovinam, Taekwondo, and Wushu. A group commemorative photo was then taken.
It is reported that Chief Minister U Soe Thein and officials warmly greeted the students and toured the sports equipment exhibits displayed by the Institute of Sports and Physical Science (Yangon).
