Salvadorean prosecutors raid football federation

Officials from the El Salvador Attorney General's office raided the facilities of the national football federation on Thursday, as part of an investigation into money laundering and fraud.

Attorney General officials and officers from the National Civil Police also raided the house of Hugo Atilio Carrillo, president of the federation.

The investigation was launched after a report by the Sports National Institute to investigate the operations between 2018 to 2022.

Carrillo, who is seeking reelection for another term, is being investigated along with other members of the board.
