SAC Meeting 2/2023: Prime Minister addresses at the meeting in Nay Pyi Taw

State Administration Council held its meeting 2/2023 at the SAC Chairman Office in Nay Pyi Taw on Thursday.

Chairman of the State Administration Council Prime Minister Senior General Min Aung Hlaing attended the meeting and made a speech. In his speech, the Prime Minister said the council has to lay down the state level policies and need to strive for successful implementation of the future road map and objectives.

The state of emergency has been extened for another 6 months since there has not achieved cent percent stability in the country and also, there are the remaining tasks to be fulfill for holding the free and fair election.

He stressed that efforts will be made for all eligible persons to have the rights to cast vote in the upcoming election. He also explained the preparation measures for successful holding of the election, including the enactment of political party registration law, practicing PR system and collecting voting list which based on the population and census lists.

He added that since it is needed to carry out for stability of the state, Martial Law has been issued in some townships for achieving stability. He also stressed the tasks being carried out for prosperity and food sufficiency of the nation, human resource development, building a union based on democracy and federal system and achieving eternal peace in the country. 

He added that the assessment made on the two years tenure of the SAC showed that it is needed to carry out for three major tasks which include holding the election, achieving peace and stability and declining the commodity prices. He stressed that the government is encouraging for development of local productions so as to decrease the commodity prices.

He continued that the government is also prioritizing for friendly relations with the international community. Every country in the world are striving for development of their countries. Myanmar is also making efforts for development of the nation according to the motto “Keep Moving Forward to achieve our goal”.

SAC members later reported on the efforts for achieving stability , appointment of ethnic language teacher, scrutinizing to those who engaged in Online Loan Disbursement, and development of education, health and human resource development.

The Prime Minister coordinated on the reports through discussion with the concerned ministries and region/state governments.

Vice Chairman of the State Administration Council Deputy Prime Minister Vice Senior General Soe Win also discussed to prioritize the tasks to be benefited to the nation based on the future road map and objectives.

The Prime Minister concluded the meeting, urging all to strive for peace and stability of the nation, socio-economic development of people, crating job opportunities and economic development of the country.
