EainYarGyi Village in Kyaiklatt Township of Ayeyawady Region gets access to electricity through Solar-powered electriification project.  The commencement of the electrification was held with a ceremony at the village on Saturday.

Union Minister for Cooperatives and Development of Rural Areas U Hla Moe said the ministry is implementing the electrification to the off-grid areas with the use of renewable energy by laying down the short and long term plans.

The solar-diesel powered project in EainYarGyi Village is implemented with the participation of 60% budget allotment by the government and 20% each by the ZLT Super Electrical Company and the village households.

And the project benefited to over 290 households from the village. He added that the ministry is working in cooperation with the concerned persons for promoting the social status of the rural peoples, economy, electrification, development of cooperatives sector, SMEs and all-round progress of rural areas.

After formal opening of the ceremony, the Union Minister and party inspected the small-scaled powered plant and stringing of power lines in the village.

The Union Minister and party later met with the staff from th Cooperatives, Rural Development and Small Scaled Industries Department in MaUBin, and coordinated the requirements.

They also visited the Cooperatives Training School in Pathein, and fulfilled the needs. The Union Minister and party later attended a ceremony to provide farm implements and a capital for agricultural inputs to PyaeSone Agriculture and General Business Cooperative Association in Kangyidaunt Township.

Over 17 million kyats worth tractor and 3.6 million kyats capital for agricultural inputs were provided during the ceremony. The Union Minister and party later inspected the installation of water purifying machine in AnaukSu Village Basic Education High School Branch, ploughings demonstration and conducting of vocational training.
