







On 14th May, Union Minister for Cooperatives and Rural Development U Hla Moe accompanied by concerned officials visited the earthquake damaged University of Co-Operatives and Management in Sagaing Region.
There, the Union Minister oversaw the renovation process of damaged main building, classrooms, student dormitories and staff housings, office operation at temporary office and answer sheets checking process. Speaking on the occasion, the Union Minister emphasized on timely completion of renovation process, meeting set standards, sufficient drinking water and power supply as well as better sanitation system.
Subsequently, the Union Minister and party proceeded to Sagaing District Rural Development Department, inspected the condition of damaged fence, operation of temporary office as well as the distribution of drinking water. As of 14th May, over 120,000 gallons of drinking water and about 110,000 clean water has already been distributed to 15 wards and villages within Sagaing Township.
At Cooperative Accounting Vocational Training Center in Mandalay, they oversaw the renovation of damaged classrooms and restrooms and instructed on timely completion of the renovation process, meeting set standards and access of solar-powered electricity supply.
On arrival at Co-operative College (Mandalay), they inspected the renovation of damaged main building and classrooms and stressed on swift renovation process with sufficient water, power supply and better sanitation system. At the Dairy Plant of San Wadi Livestock and Natural Fertilizer Production Cooperative Association in Pyigyitakon Township, the Union Minister inspected the production process of condensed milk and yogurt.
On arrival at Rice Mill jointly established by Mandalay Cooperatives Association Federation and Good Brother Company, the Union Minister stressed on reoperation of the mill. Subsequently, the Union Minister visited Kyaukse Assembly Office to meet with the staff from 4 departments under the Ministry and expressed words of encouragement.
Then, the Union Minister inspected the designated area where 5 fabricated modular houses will be constructed. On the same day, the Union Minister visited a goat farm in Kan Oo Model Village and a dairy farm in Pan Taw Sat Village and coordinated necessities.Â
