




Deputy Minister for Cooperatives and Rural Development U Thaik Soe attended the 64th anniversary Peasants' Day event in Mayanchaung Village of Pathein Township on Sunday.
After the ceremony, he visited various rural development projects in the area, including a road construction project that benefits 21 villages and 7,081 households. The project involves building a 5.5 km long road with funding from the 2025-2026 union budget.
The Deputy Minister emphasized the importance of well-managed water drainage systems along roads and timely completion of infrastructure projects. He also visited the construction of a concrete bridge in Myo Chaung village and encouraged efforts to ensure the project benefits the local community.
Later, he visited the Cooperative Accounting Vocational Training School to meet with staff and teachers, discussing their work and efforts to improve rural livelihoods, create employment opportunities, and enhance the quality of life for rural communities. He urged the staff and teachers to continue delivering quality education and vocational training, particularly to support the development of young people in rural areas.
