

The Tatmadaw River-going Mobile Hospital Vessel (ShwePuzun) and riverine boat (Sagu) with the Tatmadaw Mobile Medical Teams comprised of specialists, medical officers and nurses onboard which are in Ayewarwady Region to provide healthcare services to local people from villages in delta area along the Ayeyarwady River.
The medical teams provided healthcare services to 950 local residents from Hlaing Phone Village-tract YwaThit village and surrounding villages in MawlamyaingGyun Township on 4th February based in Thirimingalar monastery of the village.
The mobile medical team provided medical services to 297 patients, surgical operations for 64 patients, 43 patients with obstetric/gynecologic diseases, 35 patients with pediatric diseases, 185 patients with orthopedic diseases, 92 patients with Ear Nose Throat related diseases, 197 patients with eye diseases, 37 patients with dental diseases.
Moreover, the medical team also carried out the general operation for 38 patients and eye operation for 11 patients, took ultrasound scans for 121, 93 patients for ECG and 227 patients for lab tests.
And the team made necessary arrangements for the patients who need medical services at the hospital to receive medical treatments at the nearest Tatmadaw hospitals it’s learnt.
Such providing medical services were viewed and encouraged by the Deputy Commander of South-West Command Brigadier General Aung Khin Zaw and officials, coordinated requirements, it’s learnt.
