A retired Japanese train has found a second life in Thailand and will be used to run luxury sightseeing trips in the country. The train was shipped to the Southeast Asian nation and in 2022 the State Railway of Thailand started to refurbish the carriages and renamed it Royal Blossom which is a symbol of Thailand's national flower.

The interior is a fusion of Japanese and Thai design, includes private rooms, complete with sofas. It also features large windows for panoramic views. The train went out of service in 2016 when a new bullet train line opened in Japan.
