Restoration Efforts : Efforts to rebuild homes in Falam

Cement, roofing sheets and roofing nails are being provided to residents of Falam in Chin State, whose homes were damaged during violent incidents.

Deputy Minister for Border Affairs Maj-Gen Kyaw Swar Oo inspected ongoing reconstruction and cleanup work in Falam on Saturday, together with state ministers and members of the reconstruction committee.

They also inspected road and public-area cleaning, including work around local pagodas, as well as repairs to damaged government staff housing and residents’ homes. Tatmadawmen, police force, firefighters and local government staff are taking part in the cleanup activities.
