Survivors of Afghanistan's earthquake that hit Paktika province appealed for urgent help, Wednesday, after 1,000 people were killed and 1,500 injured at the rural, mountainous region of the country's east.
"We need all sorts of support, we don't have clinics here, we have no shelter, we need tents, we are in urgent need of food items, because all the villagers lost everything they had." said a local resident on a Twitter video.
The earthquake was the country's deadliest recorded in two decades. Officials warned that the already grim toll may still rise.
