








Under the guidance of Chairman of the State Administration Council Commander-in-Chief of Defence Services Senior General Min AungHlaing, repatriation processes are being undertaken to bring back Myanmar citizens who are abroad and have difficulty to return to Myanmar due to various reasons.
A Myanmar delegation led by Commandant of Taninthayi Naval Base accepted 679 Myanmar citizens in Thailand who are facing difficulties to come back to Myanmar due to various reasons at the Custom Bridge in Ranong, Thailand and took them back by vessels and arrived at Shwe Wet WunBridge on Thursday afternoon. Taninthayi Region Chief Minister U MyatKo, the Region Social Affairs Minister, the district and township management committee members and families of Myanmar returnees warmly welcomed them and provided food stuff and clothes. Health staff from the Township People’s Hospital, departments and social organizations conducted COVID-19 test and medical test by the local Tatmadaw medical teams for the COVID-19 prevention and served with lunch.
Out of 679 Myanmar returnees who are arriving in Kawthaung, arrangements will be made to transport 397 returnees from Taninthayi region to their respective townships via Kawthaung by cars, 171 returnees from Yangon and other cities by Tatmadaw Navy vessel (Kyan Sit Thar) and 111 returnees from Rakhine State to Sittway and KyaukPhyu via Tatmadawnavy vessel (Anawratha).
Tatmadawmen who are serving at the navy vessels will conduct security measures and provide food and necessary health care services. Under the supervision of Taninthayi Government, the Ministry of Social Welfare, Relief and Resettlement will arrange necessary measures for getting job employments. At the time of the State Administration Council, under the guidance of the SAC Chairman Commander-in-Chief of Defence ServicesSenior General Min AungHlaing, 1,086 Myanmar citizens from Malaysia were brought back in February 2021 and 70 from Port Blair of India in March by Tatmadaw Navy vessels and handed over to their parents systematically and created job opportunities.
