
The renovation works to the Bogyoke Aung San Museum (Yangon) is expected to be complete by the end of June, according to the museum’s in-charge.
Ministry of Religious Affairs and Culture’s Archaeology and National Museum Department has supervised the museum’s renovation works. Renovation on Bogyoke museum is underway.
Visiting the museum has been banned since 25 March. No instruction on 73rd Anniversary of Martyrs’ Day was received. Preparations were made to be ready for the 73rd Martyrs’ Day if it is celebrated, according to the museum’s in-charge.
It was also renovated last year, restoring its handrails and painting. This year’s renovation includes painting roofs and other works. The 99-year-old museum, built in 1921, is located in Bogyok Museum Lane, Bo Cho (1) Ward in Bahan Township, Yangon Region.
