Renovation and Reconstruction : Progress of recovery efforts in Nay Pyi Taw

Renovation of damaged offices are underway in Nay Pyi Taw, following the devastating earthquake. On Saturday, Chairman of the Buildings Restoration, Utilization, and New Buildings Construction Supervision Committee, member of the State Administration Council Deputy Minister and Union Minister for Defence General Maung Maung Aye inspected the progress of renovation works. 

The sites for construction of the Office of the Constitutional Tribunal of the Union and the Ministry of Labour have already been chosen. In addition, the Ministry Office is under renovation, with the reinforcement with retaining walls. Currently, the office works are being operated at the temporary Prefabricated Offices. 

Likewise, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs is operating its office works at the temporary offices, while the two office buildings are being renovated. During the inspection, the Deputy Prime Minister instructed to designate the sites for constructing more prefabricated offices, while making detailed arrangements for relocation plans.
