Religious & Historical Issues: Senior General Pays Homage To Mahamuni Buddha Image

Chairman of the State Administration Council (SAC) Prime Minister Senior General Min Aung Hlaing on Monday paid homage to Mahamuni Buddha Image in Chanmya Tharsi Township of Mandalay Region.

There, the Senior General offered flowers, water and gold plates to the Mahamuni Buddha Image before donating cash to the Pagoda Board of Trustees. He also inspected the Pagoda maintenance works, repairs to the Tripitaka storage building and gave necessary instructions for long term existence.

The Senior General also visited the Myanma traditional artworks exhibition and paintings halls, and stressed the need to conserve those items for history. Also, he called on the concerned officials to make record and to cooperate with experts not to damage the original design regarding the repairs.
