








A ceremony to drive stakes for construction of a religious building in the Mara Vijaya Buddha Park in Dekkhinathiri Township of Nay Pyi Taw Council Area took place on Sunday.
The ceremony was attended by members of the Sangha, Chairman of the State Administration Council Prime Minister Senior General Min Aung Hlaing, Vice-Chairman of the State Administration Council Deputy Prime Minister Vice-Senior General Soe Win, members of the State Administration Council, union ministers and many other officials.
This stake-driving ceremony began with three-time recitation of Namo Tassa and continued with religious norms by sprinkling scented water on stakes, driving the stakes by the Senior General, Vice-Senior General, members of the State Administration Council and union ministers, and sprinkling scented water on the stakes.
After the Ceremony, the Senior General heard reports on carving of the Mara Vijaya Buddha Image which would be the highest stone sculptured Buddha image in the world and plans and gave necessary instructions. Also, the Senior General inspected the carving process before giving necessary instructions.
