Relief Flights: 391 Detainees Brought Back from Malaysia

391 Myanmar citizens who have been detained in Malaysia for various reasons have been brought back to Yangon by two special flights on Monday.

With the arrangement of the Malaysian Government, Myanmar Embassy in Kuala Lumpur issued Certificate of Identity in line with the procedures.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs coordinated with the concerned Ministries, departments and Region/ State Governments for the process under the guidance of the National Level Central Committee for COVID-19 Prevention, Control and Treatment.

On their arrival at Yangon International Airport, the officials from the Ministry of Labour, Immigration and Population and Ministry of Health and Sports assisted for immigration and health screening process.

The respective region and state governments also undertake for transportation and quarantine process for the returnees.
