


A charter flight of MT Ratu Chemical/Oil Products Tanker from the ENRA Group Bhd landed at the Yangon International Airport on 17th June to get back its workers who completed their duties in Yetagun offshore field in Dawei.
The flight also brought back 134 Myanmar nationals who stranded in Malaysia with the help of the company and the Myanmar embassy in Kuala Lumpur. They have been tested negative for COVID-19 in Malaysia. The officials from the Ministry of Labour, Immigration and Population, the Ministry of Health and Sports, and the Yangon Region government helped for their 21-day quarantine period at the designated places and the respective hotels in line with the regulations of immigration and medical checks at the airport.
As per the directives of National-Level Central Committee on Prevention, Control and Treatment of Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19), Myanmar has arranged three repatriation flights to bring back home a total of 334 citizens to date from Malaysia.
It is learnt that the fourth and the fifth groups of Myanmar nationals from Malaysia will return home on 19th and 27th June respectively.
