Regions/States Budget: Coordination Meeting Held For 2022-2023 Fiscal Year

A coordination meeting on the Regions and States Budget for 2022-2023 fiscal year was held on Friday.

Vice Chairman of the Financial Commission Vice-Chairman of the State Administration Council Deputy Prime Minister Vice Senior General Soe Win attended the meeting and discussed that this is the very first budget year after amending the fiscal year by the government.

He mentioned that the regions and states budget estimation have been prioritizing for regional development tasks, public interest projects and economic development.

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic and changes in the global events, the incomes of the state could be declined and thus, the provision from the Union Budget have been reduced 12% than the previous year, and the dividend from taxation was also reduced.

The Vice Senior General urged to use the union budget fund and budget allotments effectively for the interest of the people. The concerned officials reported on the preparations for budget allotments and audit matters.
