Regional Development: Deputy Minister holds meetings, makes visits

Deputy Minister for Cooperatives and Rural Development U Myint Soe met with governmental employees at the General Administration Department in Homain Township of southern Shan State.

In the meeting, the Deputy Minister gave necessary instructions for regional development and coordinated the matters presented by the employees. He also met with locals at the hall of the Myanmar Fire Services Department, highlighted his ministry’s efforts for socioeconomic development, jobs creation, electrification and transport sectors and pledged to continue the efforts for regional development in Homain Township.

The Deputy Minister also provided books for the Information and Public Relations Department and the library of the Homain Township Basic Education High School. Also, he provided 30 million Kyats for water access and school repair works in WanMaing, MikePokeKham and WanMikeLoteLay villages.

The Deputy Minister also visited the Homain Township Hydropower Plant. Using the water source from Naunglon Lake, the Plant supplies electricity to 703 houses for 24 hours. Also, the Deputy Minister visited the Homain Township hospital and coordinated the need.
