Regional Development: Chief Minister inspects development works

Bago Region Chief Minister U Myo Swe Win, accompanied by concerned officials, inspected the regional development measures along Thayawaddy-Pyay Raiway section on Saturday. While overviewing railway upgrading works along Yangon-Pyay Railway section, the Chief Minister heard reports related to unauthorized railway crossings, DEMU Express operation and temporary suspended stations.

Then, the Chief Minister and party oversaw the monsoon paddy plantations along Thayawaddy-Pyay Railway Section, instructed to grow shad tress along railway, removal of the trees obstructing the railway, closure of unauthorized railway crossings and strict supervision on encroachment prevention.

On arrival at Latpaden Station, the Chief Minister instructed on upgrading and facelifting of station. Then, the Chief Minister and party traveled to Pyay Station with RBE coach and coordinated necessities on cleanliness and greening of station area.

At Pandaung Township, the Chief Minister and party oversaw the thriving 15-acre summer sesame plantation in Oak Pho village, cordially met with the farmers and growers and encouraged to plant same crop in a row and to grow beans in between in order to improve soil condition. He also inspected natural fertilizer production using local raw materials.

Afterward, the Chief Minister and party inspected old Nyaung Kine Creek excavation and clearing works at Nyaung Kine Dam, instructed on agricultural water waste reduction and long-term resilience of irrigation canals. They also inspected the thriving 150-acre vegetable and banana plantations and coordinated requirements.
