Regional and Economic Development: PM meets departmental officials & MSME entrepreneurs

Chairman of the State Administration Council Prime Minister Senior General Min Aung Hlaing met district and township level departmental officials and MSME entrepreneurs in Ayeyawady Region at the City Hall in Pathein on Tuesday and discussed measures for regional and economic development.

At the meeting, Ayeyawady Region Chief Minister U Tin Maung Win reported on regional facts, implementation for MSME eneterprise, assistance for MSME development, arrangements for industrial tasks in Pathein Industrial Project, operating of factories and plans for MSMEs development.

The MSME entrepreneurs also reported on agriculture, fish breeding, milk cow breeding, distribution of dairy products, arrangements for rice mills and high quality paddy strain, measures for development of hotels and tourism, the needs for regional development and a wide range of matters.

After that, the Union Minister discussed implementations of the relevant Ministries. After that, the Prime Minister discussed encouraging for manufacturing activities based on local agricultural raw materials, cooperative system, beautifying in the region and improving socio-economic life of the locals.

He also stressed on development of the state economy encouraging to the local product production and efforts for the state economy. In carrying out the state’s economy, he urged all citizens to perform with a broad vision and work together.

Later, the Prime Minister cordially greeted MSME entrepreneurs attending the meeting. The Prime Minister then observed the display of aquatic products, food stuff, household goods, industrial products, traditional handicraft and clothes and asked about seeking market.
