Receiving ED of AHA Centre: MOFA UM received ED of AHA Centre

Union Minister for Foreign Affairs U Than Swe received a delegation led by Mr. Lee Yam Ming, Executive Director of the ASEAN Coordinating Centre for Humanitarian Assistance on Disaster Management (AHA Centre), at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Nay Pyi Taw at 11 AM on 25th February, 2026.

During the meeting, Mr. Lee Yam Ming expressed his appreciation for the support and assistance provided by the Government of Myanmar in delivering humanitarian assistance through the AHA Centre. He also briefed the AHA Centre’s future plans for the provision of humanitarian assistance to Myanmar.

The Union Minister expressed his appreciation for the AHA Centre’s efforts, including the provision of humanitarian assistance during the Mandalay Earthquake while encouraging to maintain the close cooperation with the Government of Myanmar to ensure that humanitarian assistance is delivered to those who are in need effectively and efficiently.

The Union Minister emphasized the importance of ensuring that humanitarian aid aligns with Myanmar’s prioritized needs. He also explained that the Government has facilitated the AHA Centre’s initiatives in delivering humanitarian assistance to the people of Myanmar, and reaffirmed its continued commitment to support the AHA Centre’s operations in Myanmar.
