Receiving ASG/DERC of UNOCHA: VP U Nyo Saw received ASG/DERC of UNOCHA

Vice President U Nyo Saw received a delegation led by Acting Assistant Secretary-General for Humanitarian Affairs and Deputy Emergency Relief Coordinator of the United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (UNOCHA) Mr. Indrika Ratwatte at the Presidential Guest Hall in Nay Pyi Taw on Monday.

During the meeting, both sides exchanged views on strengthening bilateral cooperation and mutual understanding in disaster management in Myanmar. They also discussed post-earthquake recovery efforts, future cooperation opportunities in humanitarian assistance, the government’s ongoing humanitarian assistance measures, Myanmar’s political developments and preparations for the successful and transparent conducting of the 2025 multiparty democratic general election.

The Vice President was accompanied by Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs U Ko Ko Kyaw, Deputy Minister for Social Welfare, Relief and Resettlement Dr. Than Soe and relevant officials.
