Pyithu Hluttaw: 25th day meeting held in Nay Pyi Taw

The 25th day meeting of the second regular session of the 3rd Pyithu Hluttaw was held in Nay Pyi Taw on Friday, with 332 out of the 351 Hluttaw representatives in attendance.

During the question and answer session, Hluttaw Representatives asked a plan to support the production of high-value products derived from perennial crops, orchard produce, and agricultural products in Yamethin Township and the measures that will be implemented to promote the development of MSMEs and industrial zones.

In addition, questions were raised about a plan to pave 5.5 miles of the Shwe Kyin–Mezin section of the Htoogyi–Shwe Kyin road in Myanaung Township with concrete and the government’s plans to construct the City Ring Road via an inter-district connecting road to Dagon Myothit District and, to designate the area as a special development district in promoting economic growth as well as the maintenance of the stay cables of the Myittha river suspension bridge with scheduled time.

Besides, a plan to upgrade the Mogaung–Kamaing–Hpakant main road to a nylon-asphalt or concrete road and planning and construction of staff housing in Kalaw Township, a total of seven questions were raised during the session. The questions were answered by Union Minister for Industry and MSME Development Dr. Charlie Than and Union Minister for Construction U Myo Thant.
