





The second day of the second regular session of the Third Pyidaungsu Hluttaw was held, Tuesday, June 9, at 10:00 a.m. in the Pyidaungsu Hluttaw in Nay Pyi Taw.
First, the Pyidaungsu Hluttaw recorded congratulatory messages sent to the President by international organizations.
Next, the Hluttaw recorded submissions sent by the President regarding the appointments of region or state ministers, region or state advocate general, region or state auditors general, chairpersons of self-administered zone leading bodies, ethnic affairs ministers of regions or states, judges of region or state high courts, and mayors.
The meeting was then temporarily adjourned.
After the session resumed, discussions were held regarding Presidential Office Order No. (1/2026), declaring a state of emergency, and Order No. (2/2026), issuing martial law. The discussions were presented by U Soe Paing from Wuntho Constituency, U Hla Min from Ngazun Constituency, Dr. Kyaw Swe from Taungdwingyi Constituency, and U Htein Lin, Representative No. (5) from Ayeyawady Region. The Pyidaungsu Hluttaw subsequently approved the matters.
Following that, discussions were held regarding a submission from the President concerning exemption from special goods tax and commercial tax on HSD diesel fuel (500 ppm). The matter was discussed by U Soe Paing from Wuntho Constituency and Dr. Kyaw Swe from Taungdwingyi Constituency, it’s learnt.
