Pyidaungsu Hluttaw Session : 3rd day of 2nd regular session of Pyidaungsu Hluttaw held

The third day of the Second Regular Session of the Third Pyidaungsu Hluttaw was held Tuesday, June 16, at 10:00 a.m. in the Pyidaungsu Hluttaw Hall in Nay Pyi Taw. Of the 560 representatives eligible to attend, 552 representatives were present.

First, regarding the formation of the Myanmar Parliamentary Union (MPU), Deputy Speaker of the Pyidaungsu Hluttaw U Japhang Naw Taung (also known as U Naw Taung) gave an explanatory presentation.

Afterwards, the Speaker of the Union Parliament submitted to the Parliament the list of 18 members of the Myanmar Parliamentary Union (MPU), including U Aung Lin Dwe as Chairman, U Khin Yi as Vice Chairman, and U Japhang Naw Taung (also known as U Naw Taung) as Secretary.

Next, concerning the formation of the Joint Committee on ASEAN Inter-Parliamentary Assembly, U Chit Swe, Amyotha Hluttaw representative No. (10) from Ayeyarwady Region, presented an explanation.

Subsequently, Speaker of the Pyidaungsu Hluttaw submitted to the Hluttaw the list of 16 members of the Joint Committee on ASEAN Inter-Parliamentary Assembly, including U Chit Swe, Amyotha Hluttaw representative No. (10) from Ayeyarwady Region, as Chairman, and U San Myint from Myittha Constituency as Secretary.

Continuing, regarding the formation of the Joint Committee on Inter-Parliamentary Union, Dr. Pwint San, Pyithu Hluttaw representative from Yatsauk Constituency, gave an explanatory presentation. The Speaker of the Pyidaungsu Hluttaw then submitted to the Hluttaw the list of 14 members of the Joint Committee on Inter-Parliamentary Union, including Dr. Pwint San as Chairman and U Aung Thiha, representative No. (5) from Yangon Region, as Secretary.

The Hluttaw also presented and approved changes in membership assignments within the Pyidaungsu Hluttaw Joint Bill Committee.

Likewise, changes in membership assignments within the Pyidaungsu Hluttaw Public Accounts Joint Committee were presented and approved by the Hluttaw.
