Pyidaungsu Hluttaw Law No. 1: The law has been enacted on July 27

According to the amendment of Law Relating to Drafting and Submitting the Union Budget (2026), Pyidaungsu Hluttaw Law No. 1 (2026) has been enacted on July 27.

The amended law consisted of 9 sections. It was signed by U Min Aung Hlaing, the President of the Republic of the Union of Myanmar.

THE Pyidaungsu Hluttaw has enacted this law.

1. This Law shall be called Amendment to the Law Relating to Drafting and Submitting the Union Budget (2026).

2. The expression “Ministry of Planning and Finance” stated in the law shall be substituted with “Ministry of Finance and Revenue”.

3. The expression “before 15 July” in Section 2 shall be substituted with “before 15 January”.

4. The expression “before 31 July” in Section 3 shall be substituted with “before 30 January”.

5. The expression “before 21 August” in Section 4 (a) and (b) shall be substituted with “before 15 February” respectively.

6. The expression “before 30 April” in Section 5 shall be substituted with “before 31 October”.

7. The expression “before 10 May” in Section 6 shall be substituted with “before 7 November”.

8. The expression “before 24 May” in Section 7 (a) and (b) shall be substituted with “before 15 November” respectively.

9. The expression “no later than the last week of May” in Section 18 shall be substituted with “in October”.
