Putin visits Peter the Great exhibition in Moscow

Russian President Vladimir Putin visited an exhibition devoted to the 350th birth anniversary of Peter the Great in Moscow. The Russian leader browsed through halls devoted to the childhood of Peter the Great on Thursday.

Putin also left a signature in a guest book during his visit. Later the Russian President posed for a photo after meeting with young entrepreneurs and start-up developers.

Peter the Great, also known as Peter I, was born on June 9, 1672.He founded the city of St Petersburg in 1703 after gaining access to the Baltic Sea by defeating Swedish forces during the Great Northern War.
