Putin meets North Korean Foreign Minister

Russian President Vladimir Putin held a meeting with Foreign Minister of North Korea Choe Son-hui at the Kremlin on Sunday. According to the Kremlin, Putin conveyed his best wishes to North Korean leader Kim Jong-un at the beginning of the meeting.

North Korean Foreign Minister Choi Song Hui conveyed “warm comradely greetings” from Kim Jong-un to “his closest and dearest friend, Comrade President Putin.” Choi Song Hui stated Pyongyang’s unwavering support for Moscow’s efforts aimed at “defending the sovereignty, security interests, and territorial integrity of the state” the Kremlin quoted.
