Putin hosts Chinese Vice President in Saint-Petersburg

Russian President Vladimir Putin met with Chinese Vice President Han Zheng on the sidelines of the 29th St. Petersburg International Economic Forum (SPIEF).

During their bilateral talks, President Putin emphasized that Russia-China relations are at an "unprecedented high level," noting a strong upward trajectory in trade and economic cooperation.

Putin highlighted a 10% growth rate in bilateral trade, pointing out a robust list of joint projects across critical sectors including energy, manufacturing, agriculture, transport, logistics, civilian nuclear programs, space exploration, and artificial intelligence. Both leaders noted that this year marks the 25th anniversary of the signing of the Russia-China Treaty of Good-Neighborliness and Friendly Cooperation.
