Pulses, beans and sesame export: Export to over 60 countries, mostly to India

Myanmar primarily exports pulses, beans and sesame to over 60 countries annually. About 1.5 million tons of beans, about 600,000 tons of black grams, about 200,000 tons of pigeon peas are annually exported to India, according to the Myanmar Pulses, Beans and Sesame Seeds Merchants Association (MPBSMA).

Tun Lwin, Chairman, MPBSMA said "Although Myanmar exports pulses and beans to more than 70 countries, it regularly exports to over 60 countries annually. Myanmar mostly exports pulses and beans to India, China, the Philippines and Malaysia. It exports over 600,000 tons of black grams and about 200,000 tons of pigeon peas to India market every year. Annually, over 500,000 tons of mung beans are exported to China and around 2 million tons of corn and around 200,000 tons of sesame to foreign markets."

Myanmar is the top producer of black gram that is primarily demanded by India.  The Department of Agriculture issues country original document and pest-free certificate for export.
