





The opening ceremony of 3-month off-campus Training course for Public Health Supervisor Grade-1 took place at the Magway Region Department of Public Health on July 2nd.
Chief Minister U Tint Lwin attended the ceremony together with the state ministers, rectors from University of Medicine (Magway) and officials. The Chief Minister emphasized the crucial role of the public healthcare workers who are providing basic health care services to the public in rural areas.
He added that the training courses have been conducting since 1975 and over 3,000 Public Health Supervisor Grade-1 were turned out till 2023. The Chief Minister urged all the trainees to become the reliable health care workers who provide better health care services for the public at their respective places.
The trainees have to attend 3-month off-campus training course at the Department of Public Health in Yangon, Bago, Ayeyawady and Magway Regions and Shan State (Taunggyi), followed by 6-month on-campus training at the University of Community Health (Magway). The training will run until 30th September and a total of 54 trainees are attending the training course.
