




A ceremony for the provision of cash assistance to the children of civil servants under the Ministry of Agriculture, Livestock and Irrigation, who will be re-taking the Grade-12 examinations for the 2024–2025 academic year, was held at Meeting Hall of office No. (15) in Nay Pyi Taw on May 6.
At the event, Union Minister U Min Naung delivered an encouraging speech. He emphasized the importance of ensuring that all children of ministry staff sitting for the exams do so with full participation and achieve high pass rates. He urged parents and department heads to systematically support their children and staff under their supervision during this critical period.
He also encouraged students to view themselves as having special opportunities and to study diligently to succeed at a higher level. The Union Minister requested parents to provide strong support during the exam period and stated that junior staff with specific needs are welcome to submit separate requests for assistance.
Following the speech, the Union Minister handed over a total support fund of 23,550,000 (twenty-three million, five hundred fifty thousand kyats) for 471 children of civil servants who will re-sit the Grade-12 exams in the 2025–2026 academic year.
A parent representative received the funds on behalf of the students. The ceremony was attended by Deputy Ministers, departmental officials from various directorates and universities, and parents of students who will be re-taking the 2024–2025 Grade-12 examinations.
