Providing Supplies for IDPs: Kayah State CM provided supplies for IDPs

The Kayah State Government is systematically resettling temporarily displaced persons (IDPs) who have returned to the area and is making arrangements to facilitate necessary administrative matters. In this regard, on the afternoon of August 3, State Chief Minister U Zaw Myo Tin, accompanied by the Commander of Regional Military Operations and state government members, visited Hmon Pya Village in Loikaw Township and met with the IDPs.

First, the State Chief Minister cordially met with the IDPs residing in Hmon Pya Village and offered words of encouragement and the Regional Commander then explained the ongoing efforts to ensure regional security and the rule of law within the State.

Following this, the attendees presented their needs, which included resuming agricultural and livestock farming, harvesting summer paddy, and requesting farm machinery and supplies for agricultural activities. The State Chief Minister coordinated with responsible officials to address these needs. Afterward, the State Chief Minister and officials provided rice, oil, eggs, and dried noodles to the IDPs

Later, the State Chief Minister and officials visited Hmon Pya Primary School. They met with the headmistress and school trustees, instructing them to renovate the school buildings to ensure a good appearance for the resumption of classes, and to collectively work towards maintaining the cleanliness and pleasantness of the school and its surroundings. They then coordinated with responsible officials on the necessary arrangements.

In the afternoon, the Chief Minister and officials arrived at the Shwe Kyaung Pariyatti Sarthintaik monastery in Shan Su Ward, Loikaw Township. They paid respects to the Presiding Sayadaw, offering donations and cash for renovations. They then cordially met with and encouraged students from Pekhon Township who were temporarily displaced and are now studying at Basic Education High School No (1) in Loikaw. It is reported that rice, oil, dried fish, stationery, and school uniforms were provided to the students and teachers to ensure their comfortable living and studying conditions.
