Arts and Culture : Graduation Concert of NUAC (Mandalay)

A graduation concert of the National University of Arts and Culture (Mandalay) was held at the City Hall on Sunday. A total of 20 paintings, including oil paintings, watercolours and acrylic works, as well as various sculptures made of fibre, plaster and wood, were put on display.

In his graduation speech, Deputy Minister for Culture, Hotels and Tourism U Aye Tun highlighted the soft power of culture and arts in national development efforts. He also called for collective efforts to safeguard the country’s cultural heritage while striving to promote Myanmar’s culture and arts on the international stage.

This was followed by entertainment programmes staged by the graduating students, featuring traditional music and dance performances. Established in November 2001, the National University of Arts and Culture (Mandalay) offers various subjects, including music, theatrical drama, painting, sculpture, film and dramatic arts. The university had produced more than 1,400 graduates by its 19th graduation ceremony. This year’s graduation added another 77 graduates to the total.
