Relief Measures : Ngawun embankment protection works

Ayeyawady Region Chief Minister U Aye Kyaw, together with officials, inspected erosion protection works and efforts to block water from entering through the breach in the Ngawun embankment in Laymyathna Township on Sunday.

During the inspection, the Chief Minister stressed the need for cooperation among the relevant departments to successfully complete the protection works and coordinated the necessary measures.

At the guest house of the Irrigation and Water Utilization Management Department in Hinthada, the Chief Minister received cash and other items donated by well-wishers for flood-affected people, including rice, cooking oil, tarpaulins, tea leaves and household utensils, as well as 50 million kyats in cash. He also presented certificates of honour to the donors.
