Union Minister for Ethnic Affairs, Khun Thant Zaw Htoo, attended and delivered an opening address at the ceremony for providing educational supports and stationery for the 2025-2026 academic year by the Ministry, held in the ministry's meeting hall in the morning on June 12.
In his opening remarks, the Union Minister stated that parents must also support and provide for their children to the best of their ability to ensure they become well-educated and outstanding individuals, rather than solely entrusting this responsibility to the school teachers.
He added that the Ministry, for its part, will continue to support the education of the children of its staff members. Subsequently, the Union Minister presented educational support funds and stationery to university students and students attending basic education high school.
Following that, the Deputy Minister and other officials also presented educational support funds and stationery to the students, and the ceremony was concluded. During the ceremony, for the entire ministry, a total of over 13 million kyats in support funds was provided to a total of 229 students at the primary, middle, high school, and university levels.
