Providing Assistance : IDP relief support in Myitkyina

Kachin State Chief Minister U Khet Htein Nan visited internal displaced people in Myitkyina on Saturday. The Chief Minister met with families who had fled from Waingmaw, Shwegu, and Phaungpyin Townships due to security concerns.

The government provided aid including rice and cooking oil for 68 households. The Chief Minister said the new government will continue supporting displaced families and encouraged them to report their needs to officials and hluttaw representatives. He also called for cooperation in peace and national unity efforts.

The Chief Minister also inspected new temporary housing construction sites for over 100 displaced families from Bamaw District and provided cash assistance to speed up completion before the rainy season. They also inspected housing areas being built for displaced families from Chipwi and Sawtlaw and gave further assistance.
