







The Kachin State Government is supporting the relocation of displaced families within the state as part of ongoing rehabilitation efforts.
On Sunday, Chief Minister U Khet Htein Nan visited the Church of Christ in Myitkyina to meet with families preparing to resettle in Panmati Ward 5 of WasaDi Village.
During the meeting, a displaced resident reported on the housing conditions in Panmati Area 7 and the needs.
In response, the Chief Minister coordinated key concerns for electricity, education and healthcare at the new relocation site. 23 rice bags, 24 viss of oil, 2.44 million kyats for one-month rice allowance, 2.3 million kyats in relocation expenses and relief items were then provided to 122 people from 23 households.
The Chief Minister and party then proceeded to a temporary relief camp in Rampu Ward and met with the displaced families affected by terrorist incidents. The camp officials and displaced families reported on drinking water access and other needs.
The Chief Minister coordinated the needs and provided 44 rice bags and 44 viss of oil to them. He encouraged the families and assured them of the State Government’s continued support for their return and well-being.
