






Union Minister for Electric Power U Nyan Tun, together with departmental officials, inspected the progress of the construction project of the 500 kV Hlaing Thaya (West University) Substation in Yangon Region on Saturday.
The project is being implemented by the Department of Power Transmission and System Control. Officials provided updates on the project, including the current implementation status of the project and future implementation plans.
In response to the briefing, the Union Minister instructed to complete in time, meeting quality standards while ensuring workplace safety and security. Following this, the Union Minister inspected the completed installation of transformers and shunt reactors, the Hybrid Gas Insulated Switchgear, the construction of the 500 kV and 230 kV switch bays, and the ongoing construction of the control building.
The 500 kV Hlaing Thaya (West University) Substation project is currently about 75% complete.
