Prize Awarding Ceremony: Monks and nuns who passed the exams awarded certificates

Organized by Kachin state government, the 2nd prize awarding ceremony for the members of Sangha who passed the religiousexamination was held at An Taw Shin Hill Region Buddhist Missioniary (Central) Monestary in Myitkyina, Kachin State on 27th January.

Present at the occasion were invited members of Sangha led by the Presiding Sayadaw of Dhamma Rakkhita Wuntho monastery Baddanta Ketumala, members of Sangha who passedreligiious exam and nuns, Kachin State Chief Minister U Khet Htein Nan and wife Daw Nan Sai, commander of northern command Ma-J gen. Ko Ko Maung and wife, ChiefJustice of State High Court, state ministers and their wives, Tamadaw seniorofficiers and departmental officials, military personal and family members and the attendees offered the day meals.

At the ceremony, the congregation observed five precepts from the Sayadaw, state minister for social affairs supplicated the religious matters and the chief minister, commander and attendees offered the offertories to the members of Sangha.

Certificates were conferred to 102 monks and 14 nuns who passed the examinations including Dhammacariya, PaliPathamapyan, Nikal, Abidhamma and Visuddhimagga examinaitons at Kachin State Myitkyina examination center during 2022 and donated offertories.

After sharingthe meits gained, the ceremony was concluded, it’s reported.Later, State Chief Minister, Commander, State Ministers, Departmental officials, military personal and family members and attendees donated rice provisions and offertories to the members of Sangha and nuns at AnTawShin pagoda platform.
