President Stopped by Almaty of KAZ : President met with Governor of Almaty Region of KAZ

President U Min Aung Hlaing of the Republic of the Union of Myanmar, departed from Nay Pyi Taw Airport in the morning on August 17 by special aircraft for an official visit to the Russian Federation.

The President arrived at Almaty  International Airport in the Republic of Kazakhstan at 1:25 PM local time, where he was welcomed at the airport by the Governor of Almaty Region, Mr. Darkhan Satybaldy , the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Kazakhstan, and other responsible officials.

Afterward, the President and the Governor of Almaty Region, Mr. Darkhan Satybaldy , met and held discussions at the airport lounge.

During the meeting, they cordially exchanged views on the matters of the successful conduct of a free and fair multi-party democratic general election in Myanmar, and the efforts being made by the government elected by the people to achieve national development and domestic peace; the President's state-level goodwill visits to foreign countries since assuming his duties, and the ongoing efforts to enhance relations with international and regional countries; the reciprocal state-level goodwill visits between Myanmar and Kazakhstan and the prospects for further strengthening friendship and cooperation between the two countries; and the prospects for increasing cooperation in the sectors of trade, education, culture, and tourism.

Subsequently, the Mayor of Almaty အာမတီ presented commemorative gifts to the President, and the President in turn presented commemorative gifts to the Mayor of Almaty and his delegation members.

After that, the high-level Myanmar delegation led by the President continued their departure from Almaty International Airport in the Republic of Kazakhstan to the Russian Federation. They were cordially seen off at the airport by the Mayor of Almaty and responsible officials, it’s reported.
