







The Kachin State Chief Minister U Khet Htein Nan gave a remark at the meeting with the work committees held at the Malikah Hall of the state government office in the afternoon on February 9 to hold the commemoration of 76th Union Day in Myitkyina.
In his remark, the Chief Minister said to carry out the tasks with collaborative effort in the commemoration of 76th Union Day including National Flag hoisting ceremony and reading Union Day Message, the subcommittees formed to participate in the commemorative ceremony, exhibition booth and local foods display booth are carrying out in line with the national objectives of the Union Day and the traditional Manaw dance to be included in the state commemoration ceremony.
Next, the state ministers and responsible officials clarified the preparations works for holding 76th Union Day commemoration successfully and the requirements to be coordinated and the chief minister coordinated requirements.
At 3 PM, the Chief Minister attended the opening ceremony of basic swimming training which will be for one month and attended by over 200 trainees organized by state sports and physical education department and state swimming subcommittee in honoring and hailing the 76th Union Day.
First, the swimming instructors were introduced and the head officer U Aung Thu of the state sports and physical education department clarified regarding the opening swimming training.
Then, the chief minister gave a remark and urged the trainees to try hard to be skillful swimmers and to be able to uplift the swimming sports of the state.
Next, the Chief Minister, Chief Justice of state high court, state ministers and departmental officials viewed and encouraged the demonstration of the trainees and provided cash of honorto the demostrators, it’s reported.
