Preparations For Election: Pilot Project For Correct Voter List Making In Magway

Magway Region launched the pilot project for correct voter list making on Wednesday as preparations for election. Magway Region Chief Minister U Tint Lwin and concerned officials attended the project launching ceremony at the Magway Township General Administration Department Office. In his speech, the Chief Minister said that the project is part of the State Administration Council’s 5-point roadmap to hold a multiparty democracy election.

He stressed that every citizen has the right to cast vote, eligible voters must be on the voter list, and the list must be correct. Also, member of the Union Election Commission explained the pilot project, and the Chief Minister viewed the correct voter list making. This pilot project covers 15 wards and 61 village-tracts in Magway Township area.
