








On 13th June, a demonstration and trial of Myanmar Electronic Voting Machine (MEVM) and the opening ceremony of MEVM instructor course were held in Loikaw with the attendance of Kayah State Chief Minister U Zaw Myo Tin.
Speaking on the occasion, the Chief Minister highlighted the efforts of the state to successfully hold the upcoming free and fair multi-party democracy general election.
The Chief Minister urged the trainees to make exerted efforts during the training to become the MEVM instructors who thoroughly understand the use of MEVM and can provide extensive courses. He also called for the active participation of the relevant individuals in holding the upcoming election successfully as a national duty and provided cash assistance for the training.
Then, clarifications were made on purpose of the training and the usage and advantages of MEVM. It was followed by a demonstration and trial of MEVM. The training is set to be conducted for two days from 13th to 14th June with the attendance of 50 trainees from State Election Sub-Commission.
