



Cambodia will host the 32nd SEA Games starting from 5th to 17th May 2023. 16 men and 2 women traditional Letwei athletes are camped and making preparation for the 32nd SEA Games at Thein Phyu Letwei Stadium, Myanmar Traditional Letwei Association.
Wanna, Myanmar Traditional Letwei Association (MTLA), said " The chosen athletes are being camped and trained by 25 coaches starting from the month of August. At pre SEA Game competition which hosted by Cambodia, 6 athletes won 2 gold, 1 silver and 3 bronze medals. Among 18 athletes, some had experience in SEA Games."
Traditional Letwei athletes from 7 countries will compete in traditional Letwei at the 32nd SEA Games and this year, the rules and regulations will be changed a little. However, the techniques are same.
According to the coach of Myanmar Traditional Letwei Association, the athletes are trained twice a day - 6:30 to 8:35 am and 3:00 pm to 5:30 pm. In the morning, targeted on stamina and for techniques in the evening. Likewise, the athletes are mainly trained in pairs and techniques for the SEA Games, it’s learnt.
