Power Supply: Electricity restored in Madaya Township

Electricity restored in Madaya Township after repairs to a damaged substation and power lines. Mandalay Region Chief Minister U Myo Aung attended the electricity restoration ceremony held on Thursday, and officially restarted the power supply.

Power had been cut across the township since July 16, 2024, due to damage to the electricity network. Restoration work was carried out by the Mandalay Electricity Supply Corporation with support from the Ministry of Electricity and Energy and regional authorities. Electricity has now been restored to 12,009 customers through 126 transformers, with efforts continuing to expand power access to more villages.
