Port Handling Services: Inspection at the international port terminals in Yangon

Deputy Prime Minister and Union Minister for Planning and Finance U Win Shein on May 31st accompanied by concerned officials inspected the working processes of customs inspection at Yangon ports.

At Asia World port terminal, the Union Minister met with the departmental officials and heard reports on customs processes. The Deputy Prime Minister stressed that in implementing economic objectives adopted by the State Administration Council, export acceleration, systematic arrival of imported goods and smooth flow of port services and functions play pivotal role.

He called for collective efforts of all to prevent from importing and exporting of illegal goods including narcotic drug, ensuring smooth flow of goods while addressing the problem which harm the ports operations. He instructed for systamic scrutinizing of export and import goods. Then, the Union Minister toured around the operation of the Asia World, Htee Tan and Myanmar Industrial Port Terminals.
