PM in Sittwe: PM visits monastery, pays homage to pagodas

Chairman of the State Administration Council Prime Minister Senior General Min Aung Hlaing on Sunday evening visited the Nanda Yama Pariyatti Monastery in Sittwe of Rakhine State.

There, the Senior General and wife paid respects to the Presiding Sayadaw, enquired about his health, supplicated the religious affairs and donated offertories to the Sayadaw donated by the Tatmadaw (Army, Navy and Air) families. On the same day, the Senior General paid homage to the Lawka Nanda Pagoda, offered flowers, water and light and signed the guest book.

And, the Senior General and wife donated cash for renovation of the Pagoda, viewed photos of the repair works, paid homage to the Pagoda and gave necessary instructions to concerned officials for preservation. They also paid homage to the Sakya Muni Buddha Image, offered flowers and water and donated cash. There, the Senior General gave necessary instructions to concerned officials for preservation of the Buddha Image.
